Baptists try to sneak orphans from Haiti out of the country

This is an interesting story.  I don't know if you've heard much about it.  Apparently there was a group of Baptists from Idaho that tried to sneak 33 Haitian orphans out of the country illegally.  This is all alleged as far as I know, since no official arrests have been made.  Here is the story as reported by USA Today.

So how should Christians view this?

Would you do "everything" possible to get those orphans out?

Is it the best possible scenario for those orphans to be out of the country and living in America?

What do YOU think?

(Note: Now in order for this particular blog to be beneficial at all, YOU will have to participate and write something down...Happy posting)

  1. Christian radio said they were not sneaking out of the country. They went to the border, presented thier paperwork, and were told one document that they needed was missing. They hadn't been aware of that needed document. If they really thought they were taking them illegally, then how did they expect to get them past customs in the USA? I don't believe this story is factual. Even the previous legal adoptions from Haiti have had a hard time getting the children out of the country to their new parents. And a lot of the children in the orphanages are not true orphans, they are simply abandoned, their parents are alive, but don't want them.
Should we break the law? No
Is it better to be in USA? Not necessarily, if they become saved during their time in the orphanage, they can grow up and go back among their own people and effect change/minister in a way that outsiders cannot.
